Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

In plain English

Pacero gets more accurate the more real jobs it sees. When you run a free audit and tell us what you bid, you help every contractor get a sharper number — and we keep your side of it confidential. The short version:

  • What we collect in an audit: your walkthrough capture (areas, surfaces, fixtures, restrooms, glass, consumables), any photos or LiDAR scans, the price you tell us you bid, Pacero's estimate, and basic account and contract details.
  • Why: to give you your result, and — only if you allow it — to improve Pacero's estimates for everyone.
  • Your choice: using your data to improve Pacero is your call, with a clear opt-out you can change anytime in Settings. Opting out never limits the product.
  • Our promises: we never sell your data, and we never share your pricing with your competitors. Before any data improves our models, it's de-identified and aggregated so it can't be traced back to you.
  • About the AI: Pacero uses AI to pre-fill measurements and assumptions, but you confirm or override every money-sensitive input. The estimate is a tool, not a guarantee — the final number is always yours.

The full legal detail follows below.

This Privacy Policy explains how Pacero (“Pacero,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit pacero.pro (the “Site”), use the Pacero application and free audit at app.pacero.pro (the “App”), contact us, or otherwise interact with our products (together, the “Services”). Some App features ask for a separate, in-product choice — for example, whether we may use your audit data to improve our estimates. Where you make such a choice in the App, that choice controls for those features; this Policy describes our overall data practices.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide to us. We collect information you choose to give us directly — for example, when you complete a form, sign up for updates, request a demo, or email us. This may include your name, email address, company name, phone number, and the contents of your message.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

Audit and walkthrough data (App). When you run an audit in the App, we collect the information you capture about a job — including the spaces, surfaces, fixtures, and other walkthrough details; photos and LiDAR scans of the space; the price you tell us you bid or currently charge; the resulting Pacero estimate and its cost build-up; and related account and contract details. We use this both to deliver your audit result and, subject to your in-App choice, to improve our estimation models (see “How we use information” below).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Services, and we ask that you not send it to us.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
  • respond to your inquiries and provide support;
  • send you administrative information and, where you have opted in, marketing communications;
  • understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve our content and offerings;
  • detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or misuse;
  • improve and train our estimation models — comparing real walkthrough data and the prices contractors bid against estimated scope so that Pacero's pricing becomes more accurate over time; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We use audit data to improve and train our estimation models only where you have allowed it through your in-App choice, which you can change at any time. Before audit data is used for model improvement, we de-identify and aggregate it so it is not reasonably linkable to you, and any benchmark or comparison we publish reflects an aggregate across enough contractors that no individual business can be identified. Opting out does not limit your ability to use the Services.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and measure and analyze traffic. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. Some are necessary for the Site to function; others help us understand usage through analytics.

We currently use two third-party providers on the Site:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) measures how the Site is used — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how visitors move through the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to recognize repeat visits. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc.) powers our forms and measures visits using its own cookies (such as hubspotutk). When you submit a form, HubSpot associates your visit history with the contact record your submission creates, so we know how you found us.

The Site does not currently display a cookie-consent banner; these cookies are set when the Site loads. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can browse with blocked cookies — disabling some may affect how the Site works.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers and sub-processors. With vendors who perform services on our behalf — such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, customer relationship management, and the AI service(s) that power our estimates — and who are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide those services. Our current sub-processors are: Google LLC (site hosting via Firebase, and Google Analytics); HubSpot, Inc. (forms, email, and customer relationship management); Supabase, Inc. (App data storage and processing); Resend, Inc. (transactional and notification email delivery for the App); and Anthropic, PBC (the AI service that powers our estimates and in-App analysis). Where we use a third-party AI provider, we configure it so that it does not use your content to train its own models.
  • Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pacero, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
  • With your consent. When you direct us to share your information or otherwise consent to the sharing.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we no longer need your information, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Audit and model-improvement data. We retain identifiable audit data for 24 months to provide and support your audits. Where you have allowed it, we may keep de-identified and aggregated data longer so our estimates stay accurate; once de-identified, it is no longer linked to you. If you delete your account or withdraw your choice to help improve Pacero, we stop using your identifiable audit data for model improvement going forward.

6. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, the right to data portability, and the right to object to or opt out of certain processing.

  • Marketing. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages.
  • Cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings and any consent tools we provide.
  • Model improvement. You can opt out of (or back into) the use of your audit data to improve Pacero at any time in the App's settings. Opting out does not limit your use of the Services.
  • Requests. To exercise any of your rights, email us at privacy@pacero.pro. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights regarding your personal information. In the past 12 months we may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name and email); commercial information (such as the prices you bid and your audit and contract details); internet or network activity (such as usage and device data); and audio/visual information (such as photos or scans you capture). We collect this for the business purposes described in “How we use information.”

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it; to request access to or a copy of it; to request correction or deletion; and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would require an opt-out. You may exercise these rights yourself or through an authorized agent by emailing privacy@pacero.pro. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we will verify your request before responding as required by law.

8. International data transfers

We are based in New York, and the information we collect may be processed in, transferred to, and stored in countries other than the one in which you reside. These countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the age defined by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not operate or control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as appropriate. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
